Colorado FAMLI Year-End Reporting Requirements

ree
Due: February 28, 2025

As 2025 wraps up, employers participating in the Colorado Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) program must complete several year-end reporting and reconciliation tasks to remain compliant.

State Plan Employers

Employers participating in the state-administered plan should complete the following before year-end:

  • Confirm 2025 wage and contribution reports are submitted accurately through the MyFAMLI+ Employer portal.

  • Reconcile total wages and premiums reported during 2025 to ensure contributions match payroll records.

  • Submit any outstanding quarterly reports or payments before the close of the calendar year.

  • Update 2026 premiums to the new 0.88% rate (0.44% employer / 0.44% employee split, unless the employer pays more).

  • Review and update headcount and contact information in the MyFAMLI+ Employer account to ensure accurate reporting going forward.

  • Provide required employee notices for 2026 if contribution amounts or employer share are changing.

Vida HR is actively managing these updates for clients on state FAMLI plans, including confirming contribution rates, headcount reporting, and premium setup for the new year.

Private Plan Employers

Employers with approved private FAMLI plans have additional obligations:

  • Update headcount with the FAMLI Division.

  • Pay the Annual Plan Maintenance Fee- $126.00 for 2025 (increasing to $142.00 for 2026).

  • Complete the Annual Private Plan Attestation confirming continued compliance.

Vida HR can assist with all private plan requirements. Please reach out to your HR Business Partner or Payroll Specialist for support with these items.
