2024 EEO-1 Reporting Now Open – Due June 24, 2025

Due: June 24, 2025
The 2024 EEO-1 Component 1 data collection is now open. The filing deadline is Tuesday, June 24, 2025. After this date, no additional reports will be accepted, and eligible employers will be out of compliance.
Reminder for Vida HR Clients: If you are an HRO client of Vida HR, we complete and submit this report on your behalf. No action is needed unless we reach out to request updated information to complete your filing accurately.
Key Updates for 2024:
Shortened filing window: The EEOC will not extend the submission period beyond June 24.
Electronic-only notices: The EEOC will now send all communication via email—no more postal mail.
Filing system: Reports are submitted electronically through the EEO-1 Component 1 Online Filing System at eeocdata.org/eeo1.
Elimination of Non-Binary Gender Reporting: Employers must now report sex as male or female only. The option to include non-binary employees via comments has been removed.
Removal of Safe Harbor Language: The EEOC has eliminated references to the “Notice of Failure to File”. It is unclear how this affects enforcement, but employers should assume no grace period will be granted.
Who Must File:
Private employers with 100+ employees, or
Federal contractors with 50+ employees and a qualifying federal contract
Reports must include demographic workforce data by race/ethnicity, sex, and job category.
