Delaware Prohibits Military Status Discrimination

Effective: July 23, 2025
Effective July 23, 2025, the Delaware Discrimination in Employment Act (DDEA) will be amended to prohibit discrimination based on military status. However, the law clarifies that differential treatment based on military status is not considered unlawful if permitted by government contract or state or federal law or regulation.
