New York Sunsets COVID-19 Sick Leave
Effective: July 31, 2025
After July 31, 2025, New York employers are no longer required to provide COVID-19 sick leave and may remove any related policies they had in place.
This does not affect leave that was already provided before that date. New York’s general Paid Sick Leave law is still in effect for other qualifying illnesses, including COVID-19.
