Ohio Pay Statement Requirements

Effective: April 8, 2025
Under Ohio H.B. 106, effective April 8, 2025, employers in Ohio must provide employees with written or electronic pay statements—or at least ensure they have access to them—on regular paydays. The law outlines specific information that must be included for all employees, with additional requirements for hourly workers.
Required Information for All Employees
Employer’s name
Employee’s name and address
Total gross wages earned during the pay period
Total net wages paid for the pay period
Itemized list of all additions to and deductions from wages
Date of payment and the pay period it covers
Additional for Hourly Employees:
Total hours worked in the pay period
Hourly pay rate
Hours worked in excess of 40 in a workweek
What Employers Should Do Now:
For our clients using isolved, pay statements are already provided through the employee self-service portal, which meets the law’s requirement for written or electronic access. The current pay stub format in isolved is compliant with the new Ohio requirements and includes all required data fields. No action is needed at this time unless you are using a custom template or have specific formatting preferences.
