Alabama has amended the Vivian Davis Figures and Barbara Drummond Clean Indoor Air Act to prohibit the use of vaping devices, electronic cigarettes, and other electronic nicotine delivery systems in public places and public meetings.

Why This Matters

Employers with Alabama operations should review workplace smoking and tobacco-free policies to ensure they address vaping and electronic nicotine delivery systems in addition to traditional tobacco products.

Recommended Next Steps

  • Review workplace smoking and tobacco use policies.

  • Update signage and employee communications, if necessary.
